Department of Water Supply, Wastewater, Thermal Impact and Engineering Equipments Department
Strategic Development Plan seven years
2017-2024 years
The Department of Water Supply, Sewerage Systems, Heat-Air Supply and Ventilation and Engineering Equipment (later Department) will be based on the university, equality and transparency of academic freedom, teaching, learning and research. Principles.
The Strategic Development Plan is based on the Long-Term Action Plan of Development of the Faculty of the Technical University of Georgia.
Objectives of the Department is:
- Ensure high quality education for students at all levels of teaching in the field of the above-mentioned engineering (professional, bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degree).
- integrating engineering-scientific and engineering-technological knowledge that expands knowledge base, which, in turn, contributes to sustainable development of society;
- Develop and implement educational programs based on modern knowledge and practice;
- Conducting prospective interdisciplinary theoretical and useful research to solve the problems of the above-mentioned engineering;
- Consulting and other support to ensure students’ academic success and high competitiveness in the local and international labor market.
- Support the maintenance of intellectual and cooperative environment that will facilitate students and department employees to achieve high professional results;
- Provision of modern teaching of students’ learning (availability of modern laboratories and literature);
Goals of the Department

- Employee participation in scientific-technical research and projects in priority directions;
- Upgradation of the staff staff.
The main strategy of the Department
The core strategy of the department is to establish an innovation-manufacturing unit. Department of Innovation-industrial institution in the formation of a modern system of industrial complexes and modernization of scientific-synthesis, which is implemented harmoniously determinant of market realities, which is based on the idea of continuous education and training process of saturation of the real practical problem, Applied, I Scientific initial models.
The development of the organizational structure of the department will be clear: electronic learning, virtual classes, digital laboratories and the latest technical means of distance learning.
The infrastructure of the department will be developed: improvement of auditors, laboratories, proposals, corridors and storerooms and arrangement of modern furniture. Also, audiences should be equipped with tools for e-learning.
Organizing an innovative scientific-educational center that will facilitate the development of scientific-research projects with regard to the subject of the department. In addition, the agreement between the government of the Republic of Austria and the Government of Georgia on the construction and equipping of the ultra modern modern research laboratory of hydroelectric buildings in the structure of the Faculty of Construction.
The lab will serve both academic and scientific and expert processes in the following directions:
- Hydraulics;
- HydroManica;
- Hydrology;
- Water treatment and cleaning;
- Mechanism;
- Thermotechnics;
- Welding;
- Laboratory of Ecology;
- Mechanisms Computer Control Lab.
The department’s priority will be to establish its place in the science market. The urgent necessity is to provide innovative work personnel, which involves the proper functioning of training, retraining and qualification of innovative spheres, defining thematic relationships with international engineering professional societies, including leading engineering and educational institutions.
It is important to have a combination of ideas, knowledge and field competences. This is a scientific practice that is traditionally developed and developed within it. On the other hand, the Department should create instruments, structures and initiate processes in order to support the dynamics of scientific development, to develop and develop new topics.
All of this creates an urgent need for compulsory consideration of modern research aspects in all stages of education in the department. We need to change the ratio of research and researchers in such a way that the research component in the PhD level is to be a decisive guide to the educational program.
Modern research needs modern literature with modern study and research material base.
Project # 135: With the participation of BOKU University (Vienna, Austria) in the framework of “Environmental Training for Capacity Building”, two Masters Program: “Water Engineering” (Modification) and “Environmental Engineering” (New) Prepare for E-Learning mMoodle Program Using.
The department’s educational programs, the structure of the syllabus and the sectoral approach generally adhere to the subjective problems of the relevant sphere, but unfortunately we still have the criteria of modern relevant educational institutions.
Which means that:
- Doctoral education strategy should be based on the study and research resources of the Department;
- The aim of Doctoral Education in the Department should be to cultivate a systematic oriented systematic thinking;
- Bringing creative and intellectual autonomy in the doctorate thinking of the Department so that the results of the Doctoral Survey meet the original requirement for modern research
The most important challenge in modern education is because the technologically advanced man is the greatest threat to humanity without ethics.
- our country’s long history has repeatedly shown that the faith, love, humility, self-control, benevolence, courtesy, others more suffering to support the ability to grow without the person cannot be formed, and at least one of the upbringing of the faults could be a character in a very dangerous type of turn and doctoral education department should be based on academic and research resources;
- The aim of Doctoral Education in the Department should be to cultivate a systematic oriented systematic thinking;
- Bringing creative and intellectual autonomy in the doctorate thinking of the Department so that the results of the PhD studies satisfy the originality of the modern research and it is advisable to disseminate this research into the international scientific community.
In today’s educational field, people will never get any knowledge of the whole life, so the systematic task of teaching is to educate people about how to live.
The educational institution should deliver not only knowledgeable competences but also a person’s conscience to be organized in the category of values and ethical dilemmas not only on the global scale but also to bring harm to the society.
